Sales of the corrugated board industry, which is considered the packaging of packaging, and therefore one of the thermometers of the economy, amounted to 201,98 thousand tons in July, growing 7.6% compared to the same period in 2007 (187,66 thousand tons). The industry sold 1.333,74 thousand tons of corrugated board up to July, accumulating a 0.96% growth compared to the same period in 2007 (1.321,09 thousand tons). "Our sales up to July are aligned with the new estimative of the sector", comments Paulo Sergio Pires, chairman of the Brazilian Association of Corrugated Board - ABPO.
